Do I actually need coaching?

You don’t have to think of yourself as an anxious person to experience nerves.

In fact, you can be highly capable, experienced and successful and still find that certain situations bring out a very different version of you.

Perhaps you overthink what you’re going to say. Your mind goes blank when attention turns towards you. You rush through presentations. Avoid opportunities you’d actually like to take. Second-guess yourself afterwards. Or simply feel that you’re working much harder than you should to appear confident.

Do I actually need coaching?

Maybe not.

Feeling nervous is human. The aim of Free From Nerves isn’t to eliminate nerves or convince everyone they need fixing.

A more useful question might be:

Are nerves, self-doubt or overthinking getting between me and something I want to be able to do?

That could mean:

  • speaking in front of an audience without dreading it for days beforehand
  • contributing more confidently in important meetings
  • communicating your ideas with greater authority
  • handling difficult conversations without becoming overwhelmed
  • taking an opportunity you’ve previously avoided
  • feeling more like yourself when the pressure is on

If the answer is yes, coaching may help.

What can change?

The goal isn’t to become fearless.

It’s to understand what happens when nerves show up and develop practical ways of responding differently.

That can mean feeling more at ease, thinking more clearly, communicating more naturally and spending less energy trying to control how you appear.

Most importantly, it can give you greater freedom to access the capability that’s already there.

Which kind of support is right for me?

Free From Nerves currently offers three ways to work with Kevin.

Speak is for public speaking, presentations, pitches and important moments of communication.

Be Heard focuses on executive presence, leadership and influence.

Be Free is broader confidence coaching for nerves, self-doubt and overthinking.

You don’t need to diagnose yourself or know which one you need before getting in touch.

Start with a conversation. We’ll work that out together.
