What Does Coaching with Kevin Chapman Actually Look Like?
You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you need to work on. And you certainly don’t need to prepare a polished version of yourself before you get here.
Coaching with Kevin is practical, personal and built around what happens to you when the pressure is on.
It starts with a conversation
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach.
You might want to feel more comfortable speaking in front of a room. You might be a leader who knows their ideas aren’t landing with the impact they should. Or perhaps nerves, self-doubt or overthinking are showing up in situations where you know you’re capable of more.
The starting point is understanding what’s happening, where it’s getting in the way and what you’d like to be different.
Expect to do, not just talk
Coaching isn’t simply a conversation about confidence.
Kevin’s approach draws on more than 20 years across communication, leadership, coaching, behavioural science and human performance.
Sessions are practical. Depending on what you’re working towards, you might explore how you use your breath, body, voice, pace and attention. You might rehearse a real presentation or conversation, experiment with doing something differently and notice what changes.
The aim is to give you things you can actually use outside the coaching room.
Virtual or in person
Coaching can take place virtually or in person, depending on the programme and what works best for you.
Virtual sessions make it easy to work together wherever you’re based and can be particularly useful when the situations you’re preparing for also happen on screen.
In-person work creates space to explore communication, physical presence and performance in a different way.
You won’t be taught to become someone else
There is no perfect way to speak, lead or show up.
Kevin isn’t interested in turning people into polished performers or giving everyone the same set of presentation tricks.
The work is about understanding what gets between you and your natural capability, then finding practical ways to reduce its influence.
Because sometimes becoming more confident isn’t about adding something.
It’s about getting more freedom to use what’s already there.
